1. Social and Market Research
Social and market research focuses on the behaviour of a particular target market. In order to accurately complete this type of analysis, we need to gather information relating to the opinions, needs, attitudes and motivations of a group of people. This data can then be used to pinpoint which target market would benefit the most from a particular clients products or services. Due to the inherent “openness” in the behaviour of most clients, it is relatively easy to collect the information needed to complete the social and market research process.
For a business to succeed in the Information age, it is necessary to fully understand the target market. Clients are always looking to support businesses that are conveying a message or aiming for a socially conscious goal. Connecting with potential customers on various platforms is probably the smartest move any business can make; inspiring communication whilst collecting valuable behavioural data.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
2. Monitoring and evaluation
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is used to assess the performance of projects, institutions and programmes set up by governments, international organisations and NGOs. Its goal is to improve current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact. Monitoring is a continuous assessment of programmes based on early detailed information on the progress or delay of the ongoing assessed activities. An evaluation is an examination concerning the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and impact of activities in the light of specified objectives.
The credibility and objectivity of monitoring and evaluation reports depend very much on the independence of the evaluators. Thus, our expertise and independence is of major importance for the process to be successful.
The process is growing in popularity in the developing countries where the governments have created their own national M&E systems to assess the development projects, the resource management and the government activities or administration. The developed countries are using this process to assess their own development and cooperation agencies.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
3. Survey Sampling
In statistics, survey sampling describes the process of selecting a sample of elements from a target population to conduct a survey. The term “survey” may refer to many different types or techniques of observation. In survey sampling, it most often involves a questionnaire used to measure the characteristics and/or attitudes of people. Different ways of contacting members of a sample once they have been selected is the subject of survey data collection. The purpose of sampling is to reduce the cost and/or the amount of work that it would take to survey the entire target population. A survey that measures the entire target population is called a census. A sample refers to a group or section of a population from which information is to be obtained
Surveys that are not based on probability sampling have greater difficulty measuring their bias or sampling error. Surveys based on non-probability samples often fail to represent the people in the target population.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
4. Survey Research
Survey research is one of the most important areas of measurement in applied social research. The broad area of survey research encompasses any measurement procedures that involve asking questions of respondents. A “survey” can be anything from a short paper-and-pencil feedback form to an intensive one-on-one in-depth interview. Most surveys are now using computer assisted personal interviewing (CAPI); an interviewing technique in which the respondent or interviewer uses an electronic device to answer the questions.
Survey research has changed dramatically in the last ten years. We have automated telephone surveys that use random dialing methods. There are computerized kiosks in public places that allows people to ask for input. A whole new variation of group interview has evolved as focus group methodology. Increasingly, survey research is tightly integrated with the delivery of service.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
5. Project Management
Project management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within the given constraints. This information is usually described in project documentation, created at the beginning of the development process. The primary constraints are scope, time, quality and budget. The secondary and more ambitious challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectives.
The objective of project management is to produce a complete project which complies with the client’s objectives. In many cases, the objective of project management is also to shape or reform the client’s brief to feasibly address the client’s objectives. Once the client’s objectives are clearly established, they should influence all decisions made by other people involved in the project for example project managers, designers, contractors and sub-contractors. Ill-defined or too tightly prescribed project management objectives are detrimental to decision making.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
6. Electronic data collection
An electronic data collection system is a computerized system designed for the collection of survey data in electronic format. Electronic data collection replaces the traditional paper-based data collection methodology to streamline data collection and expedite the time while maintaining the quality and reduce the cost of the exercise. Electronic data collection is widely adopted by research organizations.
Typically, electronic data collection systems provide:
- a graphical user interfacecomponent for data entry
- a validationcomponent to check user data
- a reportingtool for analysis of the collected data

7. Data Warehousing
Data warehousing is the process of constructing and using a data warehouse. A data warehouse is constructed by integrating data from multiple heterogeneous sources that support analytical reporting, structured and/or ad hoc queries, and decision making. Data warehousing involves data cleaning, data integration, and data consolidations.
There are decision support technologies that help utilize the data available in a data warehouse. These technologies help executives to use the warehouse quickly and effectively. They can gather data, analyze it, and take decisions based on the information present in the warehouse[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
8. Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusion and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names, and is used in different business, science, and social science domains. In today’s business world, data analysis plays a role in making decisions more scientific and helping businesses operate more effectively. We specialize in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis using advanced softwares such as Stata, R and SPSS for quantitative and NVivo for qualitative. Other softwares are sector specific such as ENA for Smart for nutrition data etc.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”20″ css=”.vc_custom_1472836779258{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1473083111341{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_wp_text]
9. Capacity building
Capacity building (or capacity development) is the process by which individuals and organizations obtain, improve, and retain the skills, knowledge, tools, equipment and other resources needed to do their jobs competently or to a greater capacity (larger scale, larger audience, larger impact, etc). Capacity building and capacity development are often used interchangeably.
Community capacity building is a conceptual approach to social, behavioral change and leads to infrastructure development. It simultaneously focuses on understanding the obstacles that inhibit people, governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from realizing their development goals and enhancing the abilities that will allow them to achieve measurable and sustainable results.[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
